Sancton Wood : ウィキペディア英語版 | Sancton Wood Sancton Wood (1815–1886) was an English architect, born in Hackney. He was the son of John Wood and Harriet Russell, a niece of the painter, Richard Smirke.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Sancton Wood )〕 ==Career== Sancton Wood obtained work in the office of his cousin, the architect Robert Smirke. He later worked for Robert's brother, Sydney Smirke. Wood became a student in the Antique School at the Royal Academy and travelled in continental Europe. He spent much time in Spain and Portugal and made drawings of many significant buildings.
